The public sector employees resume work next Monday, April 6. According to Prime Minster Ion Chicu, the managers will have to organize work so as to avoid crowdedness in offices and in public transport, IPN reports.
Also from next week, the education system employees resume work online. “From next Monday, the public sector employees return to work, but under the previous regime, from a distance to the maximum extent possible so that as few employees as possible are present in offices,” Ion Chicu stated after the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations and the meeting of the Single Command Center that manages the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said that two persons with COVID-19 died on April 3. These are a 65-year-old woman who worked in the health sector and was hospitalized on March 26 and a 67-year-old man who was admitted to the Emergency Medicine Institute in critical condition on April 1. The latter suffered from chronic hepatitis and chronic kidney disease.
As many as 86 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on April 3. Seven persons returned infected to Moldova from abroad, while 79 persons contracted the virus in Moldova. The number of infected persons now rose to 591.
The minister also said that a number of hospitals intended for patients with COVID-19 will start work on April 4. These are the hospitals in Criuleni, Hâncești, Anenii Noi and the Hospital of the State Chancellery. The last is intended for persons diagnosed with COVID-19 from the municipality of Chisinau. The Rehabilitation Center “Constructorul” (“Builder”) is also preparing to accept infected people.
