The public-private partnership is the best solution for developing the information and communication technology sector, consider members of the National Association of Private ICT Companies. They propose a series of measures aimed at improving the communication with the public authorities, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Association's executive director Ana Chirita told a news conference on Tuesday that the private and public sector should cooperate and promote an economy based on information technologies, stressing the summit of ICT companies that will take place in Chisinau late in March is an opportunity that should not be missed.
“The development of the ICT sector depends on the state's involvement in this process. The state should create equal conditions for all the market players,” said the Association's chairman Veaceslav Cunev.
The ICT companies are concerned about the discrepancies on the home market, especially in the prices of computer software and hardware. At the same time, the members of the Association welcome the annulment of the excessively high duties on the import of computer equipment.
Until recently, the import duty on a web camera that costs about €2 was €33. On January 1, there was introduced a tax of 10% of the price of the imported goods, Veaceslav Cunev said.
The National Association of Private ICT Companies includes the largest 25 ICT companies. It promotes the development of information technologies.
