The Public Platform “People’s Union” is being formed in the Republic of Moldova. A meeting to create the platform will be held the next few days, Victor Petrov, founder the General Anti-Crisis Quarter, announced in a press beefing in Comrat on May 11, IPN reports.
According to Petrov, the Council of the Public Platform “People’s Union” will initiate negotiations with pro-Moldovan political parties for forming a United Patriotic Bloc.
“With a constitutional majority, Moldova’s patriots will be able to form a sovereign Moldovan government and to start the process of revitalizing the country, taking into account the century-old traditions, to reintroduce the studying of Moldova’s history, to strengthen the status of the Moldovan and Russian languages, to rapidly grow the economy, to improve people’s lives and to restore the warm relations with the historical friends – Russia and other countries of the Eurasian Union,” stated Victor Petrov.
According to him, the movement includes hundreds of thousands of people from ATU Gagauzia, the Transnistrian region and other parts of Moldova and “the patriots who live outside our homeland, but have the same ideas.”
Victor Petrov noted that the inhabitants of Gagauzia follow the events that take place in the country with serious concern. The Romanian politicians aim to take over power in the country. The new President of Moldova already speaks openly about the importance of combining forces with Romania and of the partnership with NATO, being in favor of the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping forces.
“The pro-Western parties and politicians, with the support of a number of embassies, intervene directly in the activities of the Constitutional Court, neglecting the fundamentals of the Constitution and interpret court decisions as they want. All these things bring the sovereignty and statehood of the Republic of Moldova under direct threat. Behind words and slogans about the importance of “Europeans integration” and “European values”, we are systematically led towards Romania, where we will all be “second-class” citizens and, as a Romanian diplomat said, “possessors of primitive Moldovenism”, stated Victor Petrov.
The founder of the General Anti-Crisis Quarter also said that the Romanian political forces and all kinds of pseudo-patriots and parties intend to bring their protégés into Moldova’s Parliament and to form a majority. “The formation of a pro-Romanian majority will lead to the appointment of a Government that will fulfill all the Romanian instructions. In fact, the whole vertical of power in our country – Parliament-President-Government – will be fully under foreign control. A new stage of full Romanization will start and, following the example of Ukraine, a plan to clean everything that is related to the national identity and “Russian world” is being implemented. This can lead to unpredictable consequences, civil conflicts and full chaos,” stated Victor Petrov.
