Public officials to suspend functions in pre-election period

The ministers, deputy ministers, mayors, deputy mayors, district heads and their deputies willing to candidate for an MP seat shall suspend their functions for the duration of the election campaign, recalled CEC Secretary CEC Iurie Ciocan. This requirement does not apply to the prime minister and the president.
