The public authorities and institutions could be able to pay salaries through the e-payment gateway MPay. The Cabinet approved a draft law to this effect, IPN reports.
According to the authorities, this unique method of paying salaries will contribute to reducing the operational effort of the public entities and will enable to automate most of the processes related to remuneration.
When using this service, the public authorities and institutions will be spared of the necessity of annually signing contracts with payment service providers, while the employers, for their part, will be able to choose the services of any payment service provider integrated into MPay.
The new salary payment method could start to be applied in 2024.
