Several forensic examinations have been ordered in the case of the mother who viciously beat her one year and two months old child. Once the results are in, the law enforcement authorities are expected to rule. Images of the violent scene emerged in public a week ago, IPN reports.

Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin told reporters that it was a sensitive case and that the authorities had first and foremost made sure that the child was safe. This case is being assisted on the platform of the Family Justice Center of the General Inspectorate of Police.

"With regard to the mother, the police are awaiting the results of the psychological-psychiatric and forensic forensic evaluation experts to forward the case further", the minister noted.

Asked if the woman had assaulted her child before, Daniella Misail-Nichitin said that this was the first report to the police, but that immediate action was taken.

Last week, video footage emerged in the public domain of a woman caught violently assaulting her one-year-old child, aged just one year and two months. Police say they were informed of the case by the child's father a few days ago.

In the course of the investigation, the court issued a protection order prohibiting the woman from approaching the child and her partner. She was also placed in a rehabilitation center for young children. A criminal case has been opened to establish all the circumstances.
