The Party of Socialists’ candidate for President Alexandr Stoianoglo said that today, together with his family, he voted for a free, stable and prosperous Moldova. Stoianoglo came to the polling station accompanied by his wife and his two daughters, IPN reports.

"I voted for a Moldova that respects its people, regardless of ethnicity, language, religion, political views, a Moldova that does not beg, but develops in harmony and has relations with both the East and the West. I urge everyone to go out to vote and realize their constitutional right," Alexandr Stoianoglo said after casting his ballot.

In another development, the election contestant said that he is categorically against vote rigging. According to him, the competent bodies must record each such case. Elections are a democratic process to which every citizen must have access.

On election day, political campaigning is strictly prohibited. It is not allowed to carry out or cover electoral activities, while the presidential election candidates are banned from appearing in television or radio shows.
