After the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova will register with Parliament a bill to introduce electronic voting in parallel with voting in person at the polling stations established inside embassies, the party’s leader Igor Dodon announced in his online author program “Igor Dodon Responds”, IPN reports.
The Socialist leader noted a constitutional reform is needed and the dual/multiple nationality in the case of persons holding state posts should be banned.
The PSRM also drafted a bill on maternal capital that is aimed at stimulating natality in the Republic of Moldova. The document envisions the allocation of financial support for giving birth and raising children.
Igor Dodon also said that to bring the Moldovans home from abroad, the authorities should undertake the practices of EU member states. For example, in Portugal the citizens who return home receive €7,000 from the state in condition that they stay at home for a year.
