The Party of Socialists (PSRM) proposes providing concessions to the employers that employ persons who are close to the retirement age. Socialist MP Alla Darovannaya in a news conference said that the bill they drafted suggests extending the subsidization period for employers who hire persons from this category from 6 to 12 months, IPN reports.
The employer will benefit from monthly subsidies equal to 30% of the average official monthly salary for the previous year, for a period of 12 months for each of the employed person from this category. The extension of the period will encourage the employment of persons who are to soon reach retirement, stated Alla Darovannaya.
Her mate Vladimir Odnostalco said they propose banning the dismissal of persons who have five more years until retirement without asking for the consultative opinion of the trade unions or of representatives of trade unionists of the unit.
“It is very important to defend the rights of citizens, to enforce the provisions of the Labor Code so that this guarantees the employees keep their jobs and salary and ensures a contributory period before retirement,” stated the Socialist MP.
The PSRM’s initiative institutes a mechanism of guarantees in case of redundancy. If such a procedure is launched, the employees who during five years or less are to become pensioners due to old age will benefit from the preferential right not to be hired.
