The session at the Constitutional Court, where the confirmation of the presidential election results is under review, is taking place against the backdrop of a protest organized by the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), IPN reports.
PSRM leader Igor Dodon stated that Maia Sandu should have left the presidency honorably through elections but instead "rigged and falsified them." According to Dodon, Sandu is not the president of Moldova but of the diaspora. He urged her to step down, saying, "A illegitimate president cannot lead Moldova. Ms. Sandu, leave your position honorably", and demanded new elections.
Vlad Batrincea, leader of the parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists and Deputy Speaker of Parliament, argued that the people had chosen another president because they no longer trust propaganda. He emphasized that the Constitutional Court must uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and protect every citizen's vote.

Deputy Alla Darovannaia accused the government of tolerating electoral violations, which she claimed were also confirmed by international institutions. She called on the Court not to validate the election results, asserting that the people of Moldova had voted for a different candidate, Alexandr Stoianoglo. "We want fair elections. Down with PAS governance! Justice for all!" the parliamentarian chanted during the protest.
In the second round of the presidential elections, which took place on November 3, Maia Sandu, supported by the Action and Solidarity Party, won 55.41% of the votes, while her opponent, Alexandr Stoianoglo, supported by the Party of Socialists - 44.59%. Alexandr Stoianoglo was not observed at the protest action organized by PSRM.
