The Socialists who compete in elections as part of the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists have a number of social initiatives that they intend to promote in the future Parliament. Among them are bills that were adopted by the previous legislature, but weren’t promulgated by the President, IPN reports.

MP Alla Darovannaya told a news conference that among the bills that will be promoted is the initiative to offer one-off assistance of 1,000 lei to pensioners in October. The Socialists will also insist on increasing doctors’ pays by 40%.

“We want to say that the bill to compensate the population for the electricity costs, on which a part of society banked indeed, will be put forward in the next legislature and we will do our best for the citizens to receive this money,” said the MP.

Alla Darovannaya also underlined the necessity of increasing the salaries of employees of the National Council for Disability and Work Capacity Determination and of the medical personnel of the National Blood Transfusion Center and the Transplant Agency, by 270-350 lei on average.

“Another bill enables to ensure the financial sustainability of the personal social assistance service and to guarantee the provision of services in accordance with the needs of persons with severe disabilities, which envisions the supplementing of the Population Support Fund with allocations provided annually from the state budget,” stated Alla Darovannaya.

The Socialists also drafted a bill on family capital, which specifies the benefits, methods and procedure for providing social benefit, depending on the number of children in a family. Another initiative allows the veterans to choose a pecuniary compensation in exchange for tickets to sanatorium.
