The parliamentary group of the Party of Socialists initiated a no-confidence motion against the Filip Government. This was signed by 24 Socialist MPs. In a press beefing on June 14, MP Vlad Batrancea called on the parliamentary groups to sign the motion so that this could be debated in Parliament in the nearest future, IPN reports.

Vlad Batrancea said the Government led by Pavel Filip, by the pursued policies, showed that it is antidemocratic, antisocial, corrupt and irresponsible. “We remember how this Government was invested, at midnight. We are now shocked by the corruption scandals that involve members of the executive. The Filip Government should be removed. This is the fastest way to early elections,” he stated.

According to him, after the Government led by Pavel Filip was invested, the living standards of the people have decreased owing to the commitments assumed before the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Many foreign businessmen refused to promote their investments in the Republic of Moldova as of 2016. “Why should this Government work if it does not have capacity to change things in the country?” asked the MP.

Vlad Batrancea reminded about the no-confidence motion initiated by the Lib-Dems over the executive’s inaction in combating trafficking in anabolic steroids through the state-run “Moldova’s Post Office”. He noted that the Socialists’ motion covers more suspicions about the work of the Filip Government.
