Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea, who runs for MP on behalf of the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists, said the PSRM demands to institute criminal proceedings over the rise in fuel prices, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, Bogdan Țîrdea said the prices of oil products in Moldova have been increased for ten times. The fuel is now by 16% on average more expensive than last December. The price of gasoline rose from 16 lei a liter to 21 lei a liter. However, the market regulation authority didn’t take any measure. This was the reason why the Socialist parliamentary group on March 12 gave a vote of no-confidence to the administration of the NAER. They will yet propose giving a new vote of no-confidence to this.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) obliged the license holders that work on the oil products market to annul the prices that were raised unjustifiably staring with June 14 or it will initiate the procedure for suspending the licenses of the companies that will not comply. It noted the fuel prices set before June 13, 2021, midnight, cannot be raised by sellers until the new methodology aporved by it comes into force. The methodology is now being registered with the Ministry of Justice.
