The MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) criticize the activity of President Maia Sandu during the first 100 days in office. According to them, a lot of promises were made in the election campaign and many hopes and expectations were generated, but the 100 days in office can be described by one word – disappointment, IPN reports.

“The expectations were very big and the people’s disappointment is similar in scale as things in the country worsened in all respects. We all saw the report that was presented by President Maia Sandu last Friday. This is a weary report in which she tried to justify why she didn’t deliver anything of what she promised to the people. The big problem is yet not the fact that she didn’t do anything as it was clear from the start that she will be unable to, but it is one thing to do nothing and it is another thing to take action against the people, against the Constitution and to plunge the country into chaos,” said the Socialists.

According to the PSRM, President Sandu in the period showed that she does not care about the people. The promise to raise the minimum pension to 2,000 lei is an empty one. Also, the prices rose considerably. The promises made to the protesting farmers weren’t delivered either. “To fight corruption” was the main promise made in the election campaign, but no action was taken to reduce the phenomenon of corruption.
