The Political Executive Committee of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) decided to call a meeting of the party’s National Council to discuss and agree the subsequent actions. In a press release, the party said that in today’s meeting the Committee took note of all the events that happened, including the PSRM’s invitation and the bloc ACUM’s refusal to take part in the dialogue and the consultations between the President and political forces, both separately and in enlarged format, IPN reports.
According to the press release, the PSRM, as a political force for which the most of the country’s citizens voted, reiterated the necessity of identifying a solution for ensuring governance in Moldova in the interests of the state and the people. This desideratum cannot be yet achieved at any political cost for the party and contrary to the main objectives of the PSRM.
The Party of Specialists reasserted that the agenda of the next government will include concrete measures that will be taken for the people in the social and economic spheres, the actions that need to be taken to fight corruption and what should be done to strengthen the state institutions. The structure and form of the government will be decided only after this agenda is agreed.
The PSRM noted that if no headway is made on these issues in the nearest future, there is no other solution than holding snap parliamentary elections.
