The vote held by the MPs of the Party of Socialists, the Shor Party and For Moldova Platform at midnight on a number of bills is not a new element for Moldovan politics. MPs Vasile Bolea and Marina Tauber said they have worked after hours in Parliament at the end of sessions during over ten years, IPN reports.
“No one is in a hurry. If you look at things in retrospect, at least the last 10-12 years, you will see that it is normal to work like this at the end of sessions. We work until 10pm, until 11pm and even until close to midnight. There is nothing unordinary here. Even last summer, when we were part of a coalition with those from the ACUM Bloc, bills were adopted at 10pm and 11pm,” Vasile Bolea stated in the talk show “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8 channel.
Shor Party MP Marina Tauber shared this opinion and made reference to figures about the program of sittings during the last 11 years.
“If you analyze things, you will see that 46 sittings since 2009 have been held after 6 pm. This is a normal practice. For us, the group of the Shor Party and For Moldova Platform, it was suitable to work yesterday all day long as we have different plans related to field trips and our activities for the next few days,” she stated.
On the other side, MP of the Party of Action and Solidarity Sergiu Litvinenco accused the MPs of the two parties of adopting laws that run center to the interests of the Republic of Moldova, saying the vote of the MPs of the Party of Socialists, the Shor Party and For Moldova Platform is a shame for the country.
