The Party of Socialists and the bloc ACUM are not really interested in sitting at the negotiating table given the positions they adopted, stated politic pundit Anatol Țăranu. According to him, the disappointment in society will increase and this could be an extremely unexpected element in case of snap legislative elections, IPN reports.

“Most probably, the Socialists were very sincere when they said that snap elections will take place,” stated Anatol Țăranu. He noted each of the parties that entered Parliament thinks how to behave in the snap elections and are less preoccupied with the formation of a parliamentary majority. “This Sword of Damocles that hangs above them prevents them from being very communicative and makes them center on the future electoral result,” the pundit said in the talk show “Moldova live” on Moldova 1 channel.

Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea said the legislative proposals presented by the bloc ACUM were earlier tabled by the PSRM. The nucleus of the power resides in a parliamentary majority that should be formalize. “To be able to elect the Speaker, the Government and the Prime Minister, we should have a list of signatures of at least 52 MPs,” said Bogdan Țîrdea. According to him, if the Parliament Speaker is not elected, the procedure for naming the Government cannot be started and no law can be adopted.

MP of the bloc ACUM Sergiu Litvinenko said they want a firm message from the PSRM that it goes against the oligarchic regime and this is the key priority. The Socialists will enjoy two advantages if they cooperate with the bloc ACUM – removal of the current system and a “red button” by which they could anytime remove an eventual minority Government assumed by ACUM. The possible snap elections in the current conditions mean more seats for the Democratic Party.
