The Party of Socialists (PSRM) aims to win at least 60% of the ballot in the runoff elections. On a social networking site, the party’s candidate for President Igor Dodon wrote that the local leaders of the PSRM on November 2 came together for a meeting and discussed methods of mobilizing the people for the November 13 runoff, IPN reports.
“Our colleagues receive thousands of messages from villages and districts, saying the people are near us and expect us to score a decisive victory in the runoff elections. We will do so,” the politician says in his posting.
He also wrote that in order to avoid speculations, he informs officially that he will take part in TV debates together with Maia Sandu and will pose her questions that others feared to put or didn’t know how to put.
“She has a number of skeletons in the closet and we want to take them out, one by one. The people must know the real candidate who wants to become President so that they do not make another mistake as they did in the case of Filat, Chirtoaca and other artificial political icons,” wrote Igor Dodon.
After 100% of the ballots cast in the October 30 presidential elections were counted, the results look this way: Igor Dodon won 47.98% of the poll, while Maia Sandu – 38.71%.
