The executive committee of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) supported Zinaida Grecheanyi’s candidacy for the post of mayor general of Chisinau and approved the list of candidates for the post of Chisinau councilor, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the party.
The list of candidates for the post of municipal councilor includes a number of former members of the Government headed by Zinaida Grecheanyi, such as ex-deputy prime minister and foreign minister Andrei Stratan and ex-health minister Larisa Catrinici, as well as Socialist MPs Ion Ceban and Vlad Batrancea.
The PSRM said that immediately after the Chisinau District Electoral Council sets the day and place where the applications from persons who want to run for the posts of mayor general of Chisinau and councilors on the Chisinau Municipal Council will be accepted, the Socialists will submit the documents needed for registration.
