The multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency (PSA) will work on the day of the runoff presidential election as well, according to a special program. On Sunday, November 3, between 07:00 a.m. and 09:00 p.m., provisional identity cards will be issued and the ready identity cards will be handed over, IPN reports.

The Agency said that provisional identity cards are issued at the request of citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are older than 18. They are issued free of charge to citizens who do not have an identity document or whose identity card is not valid.

At the same time, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who submitted an application to be issued with an identity card during October 18-31 can pick up the identity document until November 1, even if the issuance date is later, regardless of the fee paid.

On the day of the October 20 election, the Agency’s centers issued over 1,000 provisional identity cards. Almost 1,700 ready identity cards were handed over.

Also, the PSA issued a statement noting that, in the context of the multiple attempts to corrupt voters in the public space, in close cooperation with the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office and the General Police Inspectorate, it initiated a number of checks as a result of which a group of PSA employees who received money in reward for the vote cast in the October 20 election and referendum was identified.

On October 31, the PSA was informed by the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office about suspicions that 40 employees of the institution had connections and received money from the Russian Federation through the PSB application and these facts that are verified within a criminal case. The Agency decided to initiate an internal inquiry and suspended the 40 employees concerned.
