The level of water in the Prut River could rise by 1 meter downstream Costesti-Stanca barrier lake. Dorina Cruc, press officer of the Service for Civil Protection and Exceptional Situations, told Info-Prim that on June 26 the lake's discharge increased by 10 cubic meters per second to 410 cu.m/s. The potential flooding can affect Lopatniuc village, Edinet district, the most, where the water level rose by 0.17 meters. Meanwhile, the level of the Prut River decreased in Criva, Briceni. Dorina Cruc said in Ukraine the Prut River dropped from 5.23 to 2.4 meters. A significant change was registered in Romania as well. In the Nistru River, upstream Dubasari barrier lake, the level of water is 20-50 cm higher than usually. Between Dubasari and Turunciuc, the Nistru River can rise by 1-2 meters compared to June 25, because Dubasari barrier lake’s dischargereached 800 CBM per second. Friday’s rainfall, June 25, didn’t cause any major damages. In Purcari village, Stefan-Voda, a garden was flooded.
