The protests against the investiture of the Cabinet headed by Democrat Pavel Filip will continue today, January 21, the organizers of the protest mounted in the evening of January 20 has said.

Contacted by IPN, Chiril Motpan, secretary of the Great National Assembly Square, said the representatives of protesters were invited to discussions at the Ministry of the Interior this morning. At 10am, the people will come together in the Great National Assembly Square and will continue to protest.

The head of the press service of the Party of Socialists Carmena Lupei has told IPN that the Socialist parliamentary group, alongside their supporters, will continue to protest in front of the Parliament Building, starting at 10am.

Through a video message posted on a social networking site, the leader of the “Our Party” Renato Usatyi called on his supporters to continue to protest and to come to the Parliament Building at 10am.

On January 20, a large crowd of people came together before the Parliament Building to protest against the voting in of the new Cabinet. When this was given a vote of confidence, the people surrounded the Building so as to prevent the MPs from going out. Protesters forced a lateral door and entered, but these were driven off by the police.
