Representatives of the protesters who pitched tents in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau, after today’s meeting with representatives of the EU Delegation, the U.S. Embassy and the Embassy of Germany, said they ascertained that these institutions are ready to discuss and are committed to having direct communication with the Moldovan authorities so as to make them understand that the dialogue with the own people is imperatively necessary, IPN reports.

The head of the Great National Assembly’s Council Andrei Nastase said the representatives of the three embassies working in Chisinau encourage the process of strengthening civil society around a civic platform. He noted that the embassies, which express the will of the peoples of the states they represent, are the friends of the Moldovan people, not of the oligarchs.

The Council’s deputy head Valentin Dolganiuc said that in the meetings they presented the proclamation that was adopted in the September 6 protest and discussed each point of it. They asked for support in instituting this dialogue that the current administration does not want. “Our goal was to ask them to facilitate the discussions and to help us by a direct dialogue with the rulers so that we sit at the negotiating table,” he stated.

The Council’s representatives assured that the dialogue will continue and, if necessary, new meetings will be held.
