The representatives of the transport companies "Ednateric Trans" and "Transeric Tur" organized a protest action on Monday outside the Government building. They asked for justice in the criminal cases targeting the companies' directors, alleging that the criminal cases were manufactured at the request of a competing transport operator. Many coaches were parked in the Great National Assembly Square.
Natalia Begu, administrator, said that both her husband and his business partner are accused in a fabricated case and that this legal fight has been going on for several months. The business partners have fled the country in order to avoid unjust imprisonment. They were accused of blackmail and of burning down the coaches of the competing company. Natalia Begu says they only want fair justice.
Simion Țarină, one of the company's drivers, said that the employees are revolted due to the "bought justice that takes place". According to him, their bosses were forced to flee the country because they are intimidated by the competitors and as a result they cannot conduct their business. He says that his co-workers feel intimidated as well and that they only want fair justice and want to be heard by government members.
Diana Prepeliță, one of the directors' sister, says that the companies have been built from the ground up for 11 years. After all these years of work, they wind up with criminal cases. The woman demands fair justice so that the two administrators can return home to their families and continue their work.
Valentina Podrea, the mother of one of the administrators, says she knows her children and is sure that her son could not do what he is accused of. The woman claims that the new government has promised fair justice and that people will be protected by law. She expects from the government exactly that.
Gheorghe Begu, the father of the other administrator, said that his son was asked a 500 thousand euro bribe in order to keep his business and 250 thousand euros for criminal charges against him to be dropped.
The company administrator, Natalia Begu, accompanied by a lawyer, went to the government, being invited by one of the prime minister's advisers. The adviser asked them to resubmit the petition which will prompt a response regarding a hearing with the prime minister. The representatives of the two companies announce that they will protest in front of the government building on a daily basis, starting at 09.00.
