The former governor of the National Bank of Moldova Dorin Drăguțanu does not admit guilt. He appeared in the courtroom where the anticorruption prosecutors’ request to place him under arrest for 30 days was being examined, IPN reports.
The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office on March 5 carried out criminal investigation measures at the NBM in connection with the bank fraud case. As a result, a current vice governor, a former vice governor and a division head of the Bank were arrested.
Asked about the arrest of the three, Dorin Drăguțanu said it’s a pity that such drastic measures are taken when it is not the case.
