Prosecutor’s Office demands seven years in prison for convicts in case of Radu sisters

Prosecutors will appeal the sentence passed by the Centru district court, whereby two police officers charged in the case of Radu sisters were put on probation. They will demand by seven years in jail for each of the culprits, Info-Prim Neo reports. The policeman and policewoman were dismissed and given suspended sentences on July 15. The man was given five years’ probation and will serve six years in jail if he commits offenses in the period. The woman was put on probation for the same period and will be imprisoned for five years if she breaks the law meanwhile. They were found guilty of intimidating and humiliating the sisters Oxana and Ludmila Radu in a police station in April 2009.
