The 63-year-old grandfather is under intensive care at the Călărași District Hospital. The institution’s vice director Ion Veveriță said the man is in a serious, but stable state. He is conscious.

The four-year-old girl is in a coma at the Mother and Child Institute in Chisinau. The spokesman for the Mother and Child Institute Maxim Cazacu has told IPN that the patient’s state remains very serious and without any essential changes.

Prosecutors also asked to remand in custody the police officer who was involved in a road accident near the Chisinau International Airport on October 21. The accident claimed the lives of two persons traveling by a motorcycle. According to the General Police Inspectorate, a team of the National Public Security Inspectorate collided with a motorcycle at the intersection with Dacia Blvd when coming from the Chisinau International Airport.
