Prosecutor in Ion Perju’s case demands replacing judge

Valeriu Mosneaga, the prosecutor in the case of the suspended police officer Ion Perju, asks substituting judge Galina Moscalciuc as she demonstrates lack of impartiality, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the prosecutor’s request to change the preventive measure imposed on Ion Perju was not granted. The judge also did not allow the prosecutor to reply and to present the recordings of the phone conversations of Perju on magnetic tape. The prosecutor said the accused broke the preventive measure – house arrest – as he went out and is trying to influence the witnesses in this case. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Galina Moscalciuc refused to make comments on this subject.
