Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo is expected to present in Parliament information about the investigation into the banking fraud. A decision to this effect was adopted by the MPs on November 26 at the suggestion of the PPPDA’s group, IPN reports.
“We know very well that the prosecutor general is not obliged to come when he is invited by the MPs. We realize this, but the subject of the banking fraud already causes great disgust, especially after the last interventions of a particular character, Veaceslav Platon. The people no longer understand who is the prosecutor general,” said MP of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Alexandru Slusari.
According to him, over a year has passed since Alexandr Stoianoglo was appointed as prosecutor general, but no case related to this fraud has been sent to court. The prosecutor general or his deputy should come to Parliament to provide explanations.
The hearing involving the prosecutor general was set for next week.
