The evidence presented by the election runner PCRM was rather convincing, the president of the Constitutional Court (CC) Dumitru Pulbere said after passing the decision to order a vote recount, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dumitru Pulbere stressed there is non-concordance between the figures from the voting reports released to the election contenders after the November 28 elections and the data published on the Central Election Commission's website. The Constitutional Court argued that the PCRM could not provide evidence of multiple voting as they did not have access to the additional voter lists and sacks with ballots, which were sealed. “While recounting the votes, the main registers of voters should be compared with the additional lists used in the November 28 elections,” said the judge. According to him, the Central Election Commission has seven days to recount the votes. If the representatives of the electoral authority do not manage to recount the votes by December 16, when the Constitutional Court is to validate the election outcome and the seats of MP, the term will be extended, Pulbere said.
