Thus, according to the preliminary data of the parallel vote count, the elections involved 248 937 inhabitant of Chisinau municipality with the right to vote. The data of the Chisinau District Electoral Council showed the turnout was of 248 673 voters. The difference is of 263 voters.

According to the parallel vote count, the candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase gained 129 432 votes, the same number as the one indicated by the Council. The Party of Socialists’ candidate Ion Ceban obtained 116 818 votes, as opposed to 116 788 votes reported by the Council. The difference here is of 30 votes.

In the case of four balloting reports, the number of ballots received by the electoral bureaus of polling places didn’t coincide with the number of voters who received ballots and the number of unused and annulled ballots. In another case, the report contained incorrect data about the total number of valid votes against the score obtained by the electoral contenders.
