The Progressive Society Party (PSP) of Moldova pleads for the elimination of the presidency. In its second congress on September 25, the party called on society to mobile for organizing parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
“Only a new and competent political class can stop the frauds committed by the government and can hold the current political class accountable. Regrettably, the office of President creates an illusion that distracts attention from the real problems that have waited to be solved during 25 years,” it is said in a press release issued by the party.
The PSP members also said that they liquidated the post of party chairman and replaced that of secretary general with the post of chancellor. There were also made other statute changes that will show their efficiency in time and will serve as a model of government if the PSP gains the people’s vote and becomes a parliamentary party after the 2018 elections.
