Progress made in negotiations on restoring freight train routes via Transnistria

The joint group of experts from Chisinau and Tiraspol made progress in the negotiations on the signing of an agreement concerning the restoration of freight train routes through Transnistria. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Valeriu Ciubuc, who heads the working group on behalf of Chisinau, said they identified a number of solutions to the existent problems. The merchandise that will cross Transnistria will be insured by an insurance company in order to prevent possible losses. Valeriu Ciubuc said they also discussed the possibility of the companies that export wheat to Odessa to transport the goods via the Transnistrian region so as not to go around. The conclusions formulated in the last meeting will be discussed by the Government. A decision will be made as regards the next meeting of the experts, said the deputy minister.
