The article forms part of IPN’s series to present candidates for mayor of the municipality of Balti at the general local elections of November 5, 2023.

Arina Korshykova is running for the mayoralty of Balti as an independent.

She is the manager of Telesistem TV SRL. In 2008, she gave an interview telling that she worked in the fashion industry and as the director of the nightclub “Flamingoˮ. In the public space, it was reported that Arina Korshykova is the founder of the companies Moda-Prestij SRL and Diafan SRL.

In her property statement for last year, the candidate declared 39,000 lei earnings from Telesistem TV SRL and 25,000 lei from Media Contact SRL. She owns an apartment that was acquired in 2022. According to the platform Media Azi, in 2022 the Audiovisual Council was informed by representatives of Telesistem TV about the replacement of the manager, Stanislav Vyzhga being substituted with Arina Korshykova.

Called by IPN for details on the phone number indicated in the file that she submitted to the Electoral Council, Arina Korshykova didn’t answer the phone. The candidate hasn’t yet held electoral events to present her priorities in the campaign.

As it was decided by draw, Arina Korshykova will be next to No. 9 on the ballot.
