Production of oil and vegetal/animal fat prices went up by 16.4%

The highest increase of prices in the industrial production in Moldova was recorded in July in oil and vegetal/animal fat production – by 16.4%. In July 2007 the indicator for producer’s price of the industrial production has increased by 0.8% since June. In the basic activity – processing industry, the prices have gone up by 1.2%. Significant increases have been recorded in pasta manufacturing – by 13%, textile manufacturing – by 6.5%, fruit and vegetable processing and conservation – by 6.1%, apparel manufacture – by 5.1%, metal products manufacturing, including machinery and equipment – by 4%, tobacco products – by 3.4%. In the mining industry the prices went up by 0.8%, while the prices of electric and thermal energy, gas and water stood the same. The prices of industrial production went up by 29.1% compared to July 2006 and by 23.5% from the beginning of 2007. In July 2007 consumer prices increased by 1.1% since June, including food products – by 1.6%, non-afood products – by 1.1% and public services – by 0.4%.
