Process of working out middle-term National Development Plan in Moldova will start on January 10

The process of working out the National Development Plan in Moldova (NDP) on the middle term will begin on January 10, Minister of Economy and Commerce Igor Dodon stated at the sitting of the inter-ministerial Committee for working out the NDP. At the initial stage, planned for January-April 2007, there will be assessed the level of carrying out the main national development documents, including EGPRSP, Moldova-EU Action Plan, “Moldovan Village” Programme. Concomitantly, there will be determined the primary reforms that will be implemented in the coming years. The second stage includes the assessment of the costs for putting the reforms into effect and a detailed action plan for their implementation. At the final stage, the NDP project will be debated by the civil society and afterwards presented to the Government for consideration. The Government promises the final document will be a unitary one, which will establish concrete indexes of the improvement of the people’s life and will reflect the level of Moldova’s approach to EU. The Plan will be accompanied by a financial programme, setting the sums and financial resources.
