The procedures for identifying, assessing and helping children in risky situations and those speared from parents will be reviewed, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a bill to this effect approved by the Government.
Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said the bill defines a series of new notions in the child protection system and removes those that generate misinterpretations.
”The procedures for assessing and monitoring the children at risk will be standardized at national level. There are determined the conditions in which the children will be granted the status of children who remained temporarily without parent protection and children who remained without parent protection, the terms during which this status will be given and the conditions of placing children separated from parents,” said the minister.
Under the bill, the duties of tutelage authority will be performed by the local social assistance and family protection organizations. Also, the local tutelage authorities from different territorial-administrative units and other organizations from such areas as social assistance, education, health protection and law enforcement will obligatorily establish cooperation relations.
