Representatives of the “Pro Orthodoxy” religious organization say that, starting January 2013, the educational system will introduce a new module of sexual education that will promote the idea that any kind of sexual diversity, including homosexuality, is normal.
Organization leader Ghenadie Valuta stated in a press conference that “the government does everything in its powers to encourage an unhealthy life style”.
“Behind the Anti-discrimination Law is a propagandistic and manipulative agenda. Parliament adopted a bill that stipulates a module of sexual education which cultivates respect towards sexual diversity, whereas sexual diversity is nothing but homosexuality and other deviations of the sexual instinct. It is not that much about the educational problem, but more about the way it is taught, and the interests in implies”, said the Pro Orthodoxy leader.
Ghenadie Valuta said that he knows, from personal sources, that a bill allowing gay parades, and another for legalizing prostitution is being being. “All of these prove that our dignitaries either tolerate, or some of them even promote policies that destroy the family cell. In this regard, if no safety measures are taken, Moldova's families are doomed, and the future of this state is on a course to self-destruction”, added Valuta.
Along with the organization's representatives, to the press conference came American psychologist Paul Cameron, who has done numerous studies on sexual minorities. The psychologist mentioned that his most important discovery is that homosexuality or lesbianism are not innate factors, but acquired ones.
During the conference, the representatives of “Pro Orthodoxy” added that they will ask the government to create a ministerial commission, which would include members of the Orthodox Church, as well as those of the civil society, who would thoroughly investigate the issues that Moldovan families face.
