The Pro Moldova Political Party called upon its voters and sympathizers to support the PAS candidate for President Maia Sandu in the presidential runoff of November 15, IPN reports.

“Moldova no longer blushes with shame as we are one step (PAS) close to removing the leader of the Socialist regime who tried to bring the country under control. I call on you to go and vote on November 15 so that Dodon leaves and we give a chance to our state and each citizen who got tired of corruption, lie, betrayal and poverty. Pro Moldova was and remains against Igor Dodon,” stated the president of Pro Moldova Andrian Candu, being quoted in a press release of the party.

The politician thanked the citizens who, during the pandemic, showed a responsible attitude and cast their ballots so as to elect the President.

He also expressed his concern about the violations and attempts to rig the elections witnessed on the election day. Candu called on the authorities to remove the irregularities reported by now and not to allow similar abuses in the runoff vote.

With 100% of the ballots cast in the country (2,143 vote reports) counted, the results are as follows: the PAS candidate Maia Sandu gained 36.16% of the vote, while independent candidate Igor Dodon, who is supported by the Party of Socialists, won 32.61% of the vote.

After processing all the 139 vote reports of the out-of-country polling stations, Maia Sandu holds the lead with 70.12% of the poll, being followed by Renato Usatyi with 17.25% and Igor Dodon with 3.65% of the ballot.
