The members of the Pro Moldova parliamentary group proposed a simple motion concerning the health policies. They criticize the health authorities for the rising number of confirmed infections with COVID-19, which exceeded 10,000, at a time when the people in Europe heaved a sigh of relief and started to return to normality, IPN reports.

The announcement was made in a news conference by the group’s leader Andrian Candu. He invited all the MPs who are concerned about the state of the national healthcare system to support the motion so as to make those who asserted that they managed the pandemic in the period to account for what they did.

MP Ruxanda Glavan said the National Public Health Agency denies bearing responsibility for the way in which samples are taken and transported for being tested for COVID-19 in the lab. The people have been lied to in the period as a public authority managed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection interprets the legal norms as it likes so as to deny responsibility.

“We stayed at home and obeyed the imposed rules, while they did what they wanted. By not ensuring the appropriate collection and transportation of samples, by ignoring the norms and not ensuing control, thousands of people have been exposed to the risk of infection. How many of these really became infected? How many remained with health problems for the rest of their life? How many died due to the authorities because they didn’t fulfill the obligations?” asked Ruxanda Glavan, noting this is criminal behavior.

Contacted by IPN for a comment, spokeswoman for the Ministry Health, Labor and Social Protection Cristina Stratulat said the institution does not comment on the subject related to the motion.
