The MPs of the Pro Moldova group accuse the former mates from the Democratic Party (PDM) of blackmailing district and local councilors and mayors in Rezina who chose to join the Pro Moldova group. In a press briefing, MP Eleonora Graur, who is native of Rezina, requested the former party mates to abandon the practices borrowed from the criminal times of the 1990s, IPN reports.
According to the MP, persons from the PDM during almost a week had acted in an organized way, like in a clan, intimidating councilors, mayors and other members of the former PDM team in Rezina. “They threaten my colleagues in the ugliest way possible with dismissals, with professional and personal problems. What is even more serious, these are threatened that the members of their families will face problems,” stated Eleonora Graur.
In another press briefing, the leader of the PDM Pavel Filip said the accusations are gross lies. None of the Democratic MPs, none of the party’s members travelled to Rezina recently. “No one needs those fellows. We bid farewell to those who left. The PDM only gains as a result,” stated the politician.
