The parties of the pro-European coalition seem to haven't learned their lesson and are making the same mistakes as in 2009 and 2010. This opinion was shared by the guests of a talk-show on RTR-Moldova TV, IPN reports.
Political analyst Vitalie Andrievschi thinks that the negotiations among the pro-European parties take so long and are kept secret because of the distribution of offices. “We're all grown ups and realize that they've agreed on the government program long ago. The problem is the distribution of portfolios. It seems they're making the same mistakes all over again. Meanwhile, people are expecting a new government as soon as possible. There is a reason why the negotiations are secret. It's regrettable that as soon as they got their MP seats, they forgot about their promises and about civil society that supported them so much during the campaign”, said Andrievschi.
He recommended the coalition leaders to consider the Communists' statements that they are ready to cooperate. “The idea on which a broad coalition can be built is European integration while maintaining good relationships with the Russian Federation. Voronin declared himself in favor of the European modernization of the country, but didn't agree with some points in the Association Agreement. Let them make their proposals, perhaps some articles can indeed be changed in order to develop the country even faster. Meanwhile, the status of neutrality must be kept to avoid Russia's anger regarding the possible accession to NATO”, explained Andrievschi.
The analyst called for the coalition parties to finish the negotiations sooner. “Our situation doesn't allow us to drag out these talks. The leaders of the three parties should realize that no one, neither civil society, nor the people or the EU will allow them to protract the formation of the Cabinet. Nobody cares if they can't share the positions in the government”, stressed Andrievschi.
Another political analyst, Communist municipal councilor Victor Gurau, opted for a broad coalition between PCRM and the three pro-European parties. “What was said in the electoral campaign was only electoral talk. Now it's the turn of post-elections statements. Responsibility is shared by all parties. We have to analyze the situation, create a broad coalition and appoint the Cabinet in order to avoid a situation like seen in Ukraine”, said Gurau.
