The three parties of the Pro-European Coalition will stage pro-Moldova demonstrations on November 3. The chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) Vlad Filat in a TV program said the people will state their viewpoint on the country’s European course, IPN reports.

“As a result of long and consistent discussions, we decided to offer the people a real image of the situation in society. People will come to state their stances without drums, insults and aggression. We will look at the future with hope,” said the former Premier.

Vlad Filat said such an action is needed so as to obtain consolidated energy. “There will be many people. I have the necessary experience in this respect and in communicating with the colleagues. We will organize it in an exemplary way. The parties and people will stage such an action for the first time,” he stated.

The head of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said the discussions on the organization of such demonstrations were launched following signals from people. “Many of them were indignant and proposed that we stage counter-protests to Communists’ protests. We said ‘no’. Many people want to express their support for Moldova’s European course. They are not necessarily party members. It will be an action in support of the country’s development and modernization,” he stated.

Referring to the 2014 legislative elections, Marian Lupu said the parties will think how to ensure governance after 2015. “Every party will implement their own strategy on their electoral segment so that the pro-European forces secure a parliamentary majority,” he added.

The parliamentary opposition party PCRM mounts weekly protests against the current government, seeking early elections. The protests started at the end of September. The opponents of the PCRM said these acts are aimed at hampering Moldovan from following its course to the EU.
