The Pro-European Coalition agreed the bills that will be given priority in the autumn-winter session of Parliament. After a meeting on September 16, representatives of the coalition told the reporters that there is political consensus for all the priority projects, IPN reports.

The leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet said the priorities include the projects that were or will be proposed by the Government. These include the draft state budget, the bills concerning media ownership transparency, the setting of a woman’s representation quota in Parliament, the ratification of a number of agreements, party funding, etc.

They also discussed the latest public appearances of MP Veaceslav Ionita. “Ionita’s behavior is like a serial. We expect that the attacks on the party, through Mister Ionita or others, will be continued with attacks on the party’s leader and other persons. Therefore, we considered possibilities of strengthening our ranks and protecting our bodies,” he stated. Asked who would like to destabilize the situation inside the party, Valeriu Strelet said there are forces from outside the country that pursue such a goal, saying that Veaceslav Platon, who is named Raider No. 1 in the CIS area, is in Moscow, from where he coordinates some of the political projects.

The leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said they analyzed the bills presented earlier by the Government as a matter of urgency. “There appear new priorities. In this connection, the parliamentary commissions and the MPs must make additional effort so that the parliamentary agenda is made clear. We have economic and social bills that must be adopted by the current legislature,” he stated. Asked if they discussed the creation of an electoral bloc for the parliamentary elections, the Democratic leader said this subject wasn’t debated today, but the theme has been debated inside the coalition for over a year only as form, not yet as content.

The leader of the PLR Ion Hadarca said they discussed the way this session will be held. “An assessment was made to assess the social-political situation. We are entering an electoral period that can be used by some to destabilize the situation. It refer also to the relations at internal level,” he stated.

Under the Parliament’s Regulations, the autumn session starts in September and must be completed at the end of December.
