Prizes handed over for best laid-out apartment building and school yards

The Chisinau municipality named the winners of the contests “Best laid-out apartment building yard” and “Best laid-out school yard”, IPN reports.

The prizes in the contest “Best laid-out school yard” are of 50,000, 30,000 and 20,000 lei for the first three positions. There were also offered smaller prizes of 10,000 lei each. According to the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, the prize fund is 600,000 lei.

The first place was won by: the primary school “Anatol Popovici” from Ciocana district, “Nicolae Iorga” Lyceum from Botanica district, “Ion Creanga” Lyceum from Rascani district, “Mihai Viteazul” Lyceum from Centru district, “Natalia Dadiani” from Buiucani district, and the suburban high school “Alexandru cel Bun” from Sangera.

Deputy mayor of Chisinau Vlad Cotet presented the results of the contest “Best laid-out apartment building yard”. This year, the top prize went to the blocks located at 22 Mihai Sadoveanu St in Ciocana; 12 Moscova Blvd. in Rascani; the common yard from 161/5, 159/6 on Grenoble St in Centru; 89, 93 Alba Iulia St in Buiucani, and 30/1 Dacia Blvd. in Botanica district.

The contest “Best laid-out apartment building yard” was held for the first time, while the contest “Best laid-out school yard” – the second year. They both form part of the spring cleanup campaign that was carried out between March 1 and April 27.
