Priorities of new government program include poverty reduction and European integration

Alleviation of poverty, improvement of the living standards and European integration are some of the priorities of the new government program presented by Premier designate Vlad Filat in Parliament on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat said the priorities also include the country's reunification, pursuing of an efficient and balanced foreign policy, supremacy of the law, public services of a high quality, sustainable economic growth, decentralization of power, and adoption of a new Constitution. In his speech, the Premier underlined the role of the Opposition in governance. He assured the Communist parliamentary group that he will be receptive to the proposals and solutions proposed by them so as to improve the quality of governance. The executive's program titled “European Integration: Freedom, Democracy, Welfare” contains Moldova's government policies for 2011-2014. The government coalition has the votes needed to give a vote of confidence to the Filat II Government. Three of the 101 lawmakers are absent from the sitting.
