The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will provide a grant of €100,000 for rehabilitating the Botanical Garden in Chisinau, Prime Minister Pavel Filip announced in the July 18 meeting of the Cabinet.
The €100,000 will be disbursed in tranches. Besides, the Republic of Moldova will get another €240,000 for conserving and increasing soil fertility in the Orhei National Park.
In this connection, the Premier instructed the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research to ensure the efficient and transparent management of the funds.
After the heavy snowfalls of April 20-21, 2017, about 80% of the trees and bushes at the Botanical Garden were destroyed.
