Prime Minister urges Road Police to fight “noisy” weddings

Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev urged Chisinau’s Road Police (PR) to fight the phenomenon of excessive horning during weddings. According to PR sources, the prime minister was forced to interrupt an important meeting while the horns of cars were announcing, in the Great National Assembly Square, the birth of a new family. According to Tarlev’s new disposal, the policemen will have to fight the horning phenomenon in the capital, using the art. 33 of the Traffic Regulation, banning car horning in public places, except cases to prevent road accidents, and outside localities, while overtaking a car. More than this, the horning has to be made at distance, in order not to surprise the driver and to avoid an accident. The fine for non-regular using of the horn is between 10 and 20 lei.
