Prime Minister Vlad Filat gave the Minister of Transports Anatol Salaru a two-week deadline to gather information and present a report on the project of repairing the Chisinau International Airport, expressing his dissatisfaction about the fact that repair works haven’t begun yet, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It’s a rather curious situation. The tender auction took place, the money was allotted, but nothing happened further. This delay requires the adjustment of loan terms. I don’t want us to ruin a tender auction and a 55 million lei investment”, said Vlad Filat. The prime minister added that if someone thought he could overturn such an important project through bureaucratic decisions, he would have to assume full responsibility for it. The Chisinau International Airport repair and modernization costs are estimated at 55 million lei. The money was allotted from a loan provided by the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
