Prime-minister Vasile Tarlev requested responsible persons from the Government to eliminate the delays in the construction of the apartment block on the Ginta Latina Street and the construction stagnation of the second block, intended for internal refugees. According to Anatol Bazgu, leader of the Transnistrian Refugees Movement (TRM), Tarlev issued these orders during a meting with the movement’s representatives on Thursday, September 14, while approximately 200 refuges and combatants were protesting in front of the Executive’s headquarters. According to Bazgu, the premier promised that the Government will follow its own decision and will try by all means to solve the problem of these persons. The cited source declared for Info-Prim Neo that the protesters are pleased with the results of the meeting, and will keep track of the situation and the promises made. While the TRM leader was at the meeting with the premier, approximately 200 members of the Movement, as well as members of the National Union of Independence War Veterans were protesting in front of the Government’s headquarters. They held posters spelling “We are tired of poverty”, “We want a decent living”, “Mr. Voronin, we’ve had it with lies and promises”. Of the MDL 8 million required to build the two locative blocks, only MDL 1.9 million were granted until now.
